Vacations are so relaxing and provide you a nice break to your monotonous life 🤌🏻

But if you’re trying to conceive, vacations can seem like a project if you’re syncing them with your ovulation 🥹

I don’t mean that you shouldn’t sync it with you ovulation days, its always a great idea as it can boost your chances of conception due to better environment, improved intimacy and nice mood. However, if you put high expectations from this vacation, it can fail and leave you disappointed 😒

So coming back to my story, I had also tried to sync it but given that my stress levels were already managed before going on vacation. It was just a change of place for me. I had been working on my diet and lifestyle from a long time and I believed my hormones were regulated. 💖

So in Feb 2023 when we planned the vacation for 4-5 days, it didn’t work out but then we went on a single day staycation in March’23, it worked out. I got the positive in same cycle. 💖

So yes, this can be helpful if you expect less and focus on enjoying more in life 🥰

Delayed periods can give hope in certain cycles 🥲

However, if this is not pregnancy then its important to understand the reasons why the periods are delayed and test is negative 🧐

✨ If you had tested too early and your ovulation was delayed, I would suggest to wait another 5 days to test again
✨ Hormonal imbalance with conditions like PCOD, hypothyroidism, elevated prolactin levels can delay your periods
✨Stress can disrupt your Hypothalamus Pituitary and ovarian axis leading to delayed ovulation and may result in late or missed periods
✨ Excess workouts can also lead to hypothalamic amenorrhea
✨Any infection or illness which you had in the same cycle can also lead to this situation
✨Certain medications like hormone therapies can also have an impact on your menstrual cycle

Ovulation is only one part of the process and doesn’t guarantee pregnancy. 😒

I repeat, ovulation doesn’t guarantee pregnancy. 🤰🏻

Here are some common reasons why pregnancy might not occur even after ovulation:

1. If intercourse didn’t occur at the right time during ovulation window fertilisation might not happen.

2. Low sperm count, poor motility (movement), or abnormal sperm shape can all affect the ability of sperm to reach and fertilize the egg.

3. Sometimes the egg released during ovulation may not be viable and egg quality is compromised leading to no pregnancy

4. Even if an egg and sperm meet, fertilization might not occur due to various biological reasons.

5. After fertilization, the embryo must implant in the uterine lining. If the lining isn’t receptive or there’s a hormonal imbalance (like low progesterone), implantation might fail.

6. Blocked or damaged fallopian tubes can prevent the sperm from meeting the egg or the fertilized egg from reaching the uterus.

7. Polyps, fibroids, or scar tissue in the uterus can interfere with implantation.

8. High stress, poor diet, nutritional deficiency, extreme exercise, smoking, alcohol, or obesity can affect fertility.

9. Conditions like PCOS, thyroid disorders, endometriosis, or autoimmune disorders can impact ability to get pregnant

I know it’s too hard to differentiate between implantation symptoms and PMS 🥲

The anxiety and constant urge to relate it with implantation happening peaks in 2 weeks wait.🥹

I will try to help you identify the difference between both:

Timing:
▫️Implantation bleeding/cramping:
Occurs 6 to 12 days after ovulation
Often happens 1 week before your expected period
In a typical 28-day cycle, this is around Day 20–26
▫️PMS symptoms:
Usually begin 5 to 7 days before your period starts
In a 28-day cycle, that’s around Day 21–28

How to Differentiate between both:

Bleeding
🔺Implantation:
Light spotting only
Color is usually pink, light brown, or rust-like
Lasts 1 to 3 days
No need for a pad, maybe only seen when wiping
🔺PMS/Period:
No spotting until period starts
Period bleeding is heavier and increases over time
Color is bright red or dark red
Lasts 4 to 7 days
Cramping
🟠Implantation:
Light, short-lasting cramps
Described as twinges, pinching, or pulling
Usually occurs on one side of the lower abdomen
🟠PMS:
Dull, achy cramps that can radiate to back or thighs
Can be stronger and more consistent
Often lasts several days before period starts

I hope this helps, at last the only way to know for sure is to wait until your period is due and take a pregnancy test (ideally 12–14 days after ovulation). 🤰🏻

As a fertility coach, I often encounter women who have been diligently following a fertility-friendly diet for a month yet feel disheartened by the lack of immediate results. It’s important to understand that dietary and lifestyle changes take time to impact reproductive health positively. ✨

Here’s why:

1. The Body’s Natural Adjustment Period
Your body doesn’t respond instantly to dietary changes. It requires time to adjust, detoxify, and rebalance hormones. Nutrient deficiencies accumulated over time cannot be corrected overnight. I would suggest to follow diet and life changes for atleast 6-7 months when you’re expecting a big fat positive 💖

2. Egg Maturation Cycle
An egg’s maturation process takes about 90 days. This means the positive effects of your improved diet will start influencing the quality of eggs that are in the development phase now, which becomes evident only after few months.✅

3. Hormonal Balance Restoration
Fertility is closely tied to hormonal health, which can be disrupted by stress, poor nutrition, and lifestyle habits. Achieving hormonal balance through diet may take several months, depending on individual health.🙏🏻

4. Metabolic Changes
Improvements in metabolic health, insulin sensitivity, and inflammation reduction are gradual. These factors play a critical role in fertility and require consistent effort over 5-6 months to reflect significant changes.🍇

Getting signs of pregnancy but then a negative test can be so frustrating 😞

But it’s important to know the reasons behind the same ✅

Before you read them, I want you to assure that I have been at your place but with right approach I was able to conceive 🤰🏻

Being a fertility coach now, I am helping women meet their miracles babies through my personalised diet plans and counselling sessions 💖

Lets deep dive into reasons now:

- May be you tested too early: False negative tests can occur due to timing or test sensitivity. Test 5 days after missed periods only or get a beta HCG done on day of missed periods to confirm.
- Hormonal fluctuations (estrogen and progesterone) and other medical conditions like PCOS and thyroid can cause symptoms similar to pregnancy. PMS and pregnancy symptoms can overlap and a positive beta HCG or UPT can only confirm pregnancy.
- Hormonal medication can also lead to feeling symptoms of pregnancy but it actually isn’t.
-Stress and anxiety can also contribute to physical symptoms similar to pregnancy.

My suggestion to you: Don’t lose hope, keep trying and choose the next right step in your fertility journey. ✨

Before sharing the ways to include desi ghee in your diet, I want to clarify, home made butter can still be consumed during your TTC journey but only in moderation like once or twice a week. ✅

Now desi ghee can be included in ways like:
✨ Prepare your meals in desi ghee tadka
✨Add desi ghee in your dal
✨Layer your roti with ghee
✨Roast your nuts or makhanas in desi ghee
✨You can also add it to your oats meals or porridge

Remember moderation is the key 🔑 and excess of everything can be harmful 🥲

Getting pregnant is nothing less than working on a major project. It requires endless tracking and execution of right strategies to get desired result 🤰🏻

No one could do this to me, only I knew what was going wrong in my body and I had to fix it. ✅

These are some signs which could indicate an imbalance with estrogen and progesterone and needs to be addressed soon.

1. Irregular, Heavy or Prolonged Bleeding: Excessive estrogen can cause heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding. It can also lead to irregular cycles. I was having short leutal cycle which indicated towards progesterone deficiency.
2. ⁠Weight Gain: Estrogen dominance can lead to weight gain, particularly in the hips, thighs, and buttocks. I knew, I had to work on managing my weight
3. ⁠Mood Changes: High estrogen levels can contribute to anxiety, irritability, and mood swings.
I needed to manage my stress levels to get optimum results.
4. Too many PMS symptoms: Progesterone deficiency can exacerbate premenstrual syndrome (PMS) symptoms. In a healthy body, there are manageable PMS symptoms
5. ⁠Breast tenderness or heaviness: Not always is alarming but if accompanied by above symptoms can indicate hormone imbalance
